EY Law appoints top employment lawyer

Global organisation EY Law has welcomed the appointment of a top employment and IR specialist lawyer to its partnership.

Commencing her role at the beginning of September, Sarah Ralph will bring expertise in employment and IR specialist law, as well as a wealth of experience in top-tier firms, to EY Law.

Ms Ralph has a “unique perspective and understanding” of business having previously worked in the manufacturing and labour hire sectors and within Victoria’s government. Her clients include major health and pharmaceutical companies and organisations with the manufacturing, transport, construction and technology sectors.

EY Law Oceania Law leader Kirsty Keating said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah into our growing employment law teams within EY Law.”

“COVID has meant that employment and IR issues have never been more complex so we are very pleased that Sarah will be able to offer her excellent specialist knowledge, experience and expertise to our clients at this time.”

Ms Ralph’s approach has been to understand the client’s business and risks and then provide forward-looking solutions that “navigate the many complexities of employment law”. Along with EY Law, Ms Ralph said clients have unrivalled access to support from different business areas “that traditional law firms simply cannot provide”.

Ms Ralph said EY Law was a “fantastic opportunity” to work with expert teams and be able to access world-leading specialist skills and experience across the organisation.

“Clients are looking for comprehensive solutions to their unique issues,” Ms Ralph said on why she is joining EY. “Clients want [advisers] that take the time to understand their needs and risks and who can deliver pragmatic outcomes. I am excited to join EY Law where I will be part of an integrated team of professionals from different expertise.”
