We have an opportunity for a talented, energetic and proactive Lawyer with 3 + years PAE to join our team. Experience or interest in tax would be highly regarded.

The boutique, solution driven, fast paced, client-focussed Sydney CBD-based tax law firm with a growing client base, offers fully integrated tax legal services covering business needs including tax advisory, commercial and corporate work as well as personal legal services including Wills & Estates and family office.

Our clients range from high net worth individuals to global Corporates which lends itself to a varied role and opportunity to cover a wide range of legal issues and client needs.

The role

Your responsibilities will include;

Commercial drafting including a wide range of commercial and business contracts and documents to implement commercial transactions including sales and restructures of corporate groups
Preparation of estate plans for clients and drafting estate planning documents and applications for probate, and to carry through the administration of an estate where required including dealing with financial institutions and regulatory bodies
Corporate governance work including drafting minutes and resolutions and other corporate secretarial matters
Trust formations and deed drafting
Correspondence and communication with regulatory bodies
Family office
Legal research and case law interpretation

Essential Requirements

Bachelor of Laws (Minimum)
Be admitted as a solicitor with at least 3 years PAE
Current Practising Certificate (preferred)
Experience handling commercial matters including drafting a wide variety of commercial and business contracts and commercial transaction documents
Experience in Wills and Estates
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Manage projects and take responsibility for running deal or matter
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Proactive and highly organised with the ability to multitask
Have a strong sense of commercialism, proven technical skills, as well as highly developed, effective communication skills – both written and oral
Flexibility and willingness to take on reasonable additional responsibilities where required
