Skills & experience

Will be an IP/corporate/commercial lawyer at the 2-5 year level with an interest in gaming – no gaming experience required.

Your new role

Advise on all aspects of gambling operations, as well as their investments in gambling businesses inbound to Australia and outbound from Australia.   Your legal advice covers corporate (including mergers & acquisitions), property, planning and environment, construction, intellectual property, media, marketing and advertising, competition/antitrust, litigation and dispute resolution and gambling.

This partner’s global reputation in this field sees him strongly sought after to advise gaming machine manufacturers, wagering operators, casinos, social media platforms, online gambling and other various forms of gambling service providers.  His advice to these clients includes licensing, regulatory and compliance issues, sports and racing integrity, consumer, advertising and privacy law issues.  His advice to international gambling operators setting up business in Australia extends to preparation of prospectuses and requirements of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. He works closely with these clients in developing their Australian business strategies, particularly in connection with the use of new technologies.
