Working as part of our Journey Beyond Group, you will play an integral role in supporting our businesses to share special places and shape lasting memories.
Working closely with the Journey Beyond executive team, Group GMs and the Hornblower Group’s General Counsel, this role will be responsible for managing the legal, insurance, contract management, compliance and corporate risk functions of the business – providing quality, practical and commercial advice on various legal matters and contracts across the portfolio of tourism businesses of the Journey Beyond Group.
The role will also act as a key conduit in managing key stakeholders, insurers, regulators, commercial business partners and specialist third party legal support in managing legal, insurance, contract management, compliance and corporate risk matters. It includes commercial and contractual support for executives when negotiating high value commercial agreements and it is responsible for one direct report in compliance.

To be considered for this role you will be a commercially focused and astute lawyer, with at least 7 or more years of commercial experience. You will possess an interest or experience in compliance and contract management and have worked in a quality commercial firm and/or in-house team.
In addition to your honed legal skills, you will enjoy dealing with senior executives and being part of a close knit and engaging team. You will demonstrate a dynamic and adaptable approach to meet ever changing business demands, and while you will rapidly identify legal issues, you will skilfully distil your advice into simple terms to allow you to communicate effectively within the broader business.
