The opportunity 

This leading insurance and risk team within the QLD gov’t are highly regarded for the outstanding delivery of legal services. You will work in an intellectually stimulating and challenging environment while working alongside leading lawyers who will help you hone your skills and develop your career.  

What you will do 

You will work on a range of diverse and challenging insurance law matters across personal injury, medical negligence, public liability and abuse claims. The majority of the work is litigation based however there will also be some advice work.
 
Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will be an insurance lawyer with at least 2+ years of PAE. Ideally, you will have a sound understanding and of knowledge of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules, the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002, the Civil Liability Act 2003 and be familiar with the Rules of the Federal and High Courts.

In addition, you will have experience gained in the private practice environment; have strong technical and communication skills; be a team player and client focused.
